N2 - We demonstrate Qetch [1], a time series querying tool, where users freely sketch patterns of interest, without specifying query length or amplitude, on a scale-free canvas. The design of Qetch’s interface and matching algorithm were motivated by a crowd study of how humans sketch time series patterns and what sketching errors they tend to make. The demonstration will walk attendees through Qetch’s guiding design principles, interface features, and unique matching algorithm. We will also summarize results on Qetch’s effectiveness from our user studies.
