N2 - A multitrait-multimethod analysis of four attitude assessment procedures was performed, (1) the Likert method of summated ratings, (2) Thurstone's method of equal appearing intervals, (3) Guilford's self-rating procedure, and (4) the semantic differential technique. Results indicated that all four measures meet the criteria of high reliability, high convergence, low method variance, and high divergent validity about equally well. Implications of these findings were discussed.
