Abstract

The Lyman and Werner band emissions produced by 20-500-ev electrons incident on molecular deuterium, D//2 were studied determining emission cross sections of (3. 7 plus or minus 0. 9) multiplied by 10** minus **1**7 cm**2 for the B yields X and (3. 54 plus or minus 0. 74) multiplied by 10** minus **1**7 cm**2 for the C yields X system at 100-ev impact energy.
