Abstract

This paper studies the optimal control problem for continuous-time nonaffine nonlinear dynamic systems with unknown dynamics. By using adaptive dynamic programming (ADP) method, a non-model based optimal control design is given. The convergence analysis for the designed control scheme is presented. Finally, a numerical example is adopted to illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained algorithm.
