Abstract

Single cell omics analysis has become the gold standard for understanding cellular mechanisms and heterogeneity with tissues, however, most available techniques depend on suspended cells where the spatiotemporal arrangement of cell heterogeneity within tissue is lost. In this report, we present an integrated microfluidic probe (MFP) that utilize the concepts of electropermealization (EP) and hydrodynamic flow confinement (HFC) to perform contactless single cell cytoplasmic biopsy on adherent cell culture, and potentially on tissue slices.
