Abstract

Wireless networks have been deployed widely in recent years. The performance features such as fairness and efficiency of MAC protocols would affect that in upper layer. We propose two modifications to a MAC protocol proposed in [14], so that the new protocol could achieve AIMD on controlling each station's throughput directly. We use stochastic linear difference equation to study the throughput of this protocol and we present a guideline for selecting additive and multiplicative parameters.
