Abstract

A waveguide model is applied for a city street with irregularly spaced high buildings by employing ray-optical methods. The approach not only allows the computation of the variations of the energetic parameters of the field along the city street but also to present the analytical expressions for the spatial structure of the field and to account for the influence of the roughness of the walls and scattering by trees and other obstacles.
