Chapter ObjeCtives By the end of this chapter, the reader will be able to: • Compare and contrast environments that are either supports or barriers to resilience, adaptation, and coping by autistic childr en and youth. • Utilize evidence-based assessment and inter ventions that support inclusion and positive client-center ed outcomes in work with autistic childr en and youth. • Demonstrate how a strength- based practice can be part of an approach that fosters resilience, adaptation, and coping in autistic childr en and youth.
