Axial load capacity of un-tapered piles in cohesionless soils

Abstract

A method of estimating axial load capacity of driven piles using standard penetration resistances and continuous functions is presented. The accuracy of the method was judged in comparison to predictions made using the API RP-2A method. Space limitations preclude making more extensive comparisons.
