Abstract

Multiple antenna systems are developed to establish multiple broadband communication channels in the same time and bandwidth using a wireless link between two localized transceivers. Large signal to interference and noise ratio and low bit error rate are obtained for practical stationary time division duplex wireless communication systems. By taking advantages of the multipath propagation feature, optimum space-time weights of broadband smart antennas at both transmitter and receiver are determined by novel generalized zero forcing (GZF) space-time processing techniques as pre-processing, post processing, and hybrid pre-post processing procedures.
