title = "Calculated cross sections for the electron-impact ionization of excited argon atoms using the DM formalism",
abstract = "The semiclassical Deutsch-M{\"a}rk (DM) formalism was used to calculate absolute cross sections for the electron-impact ionization of excited argon atoms from threshold to 1000 eV. Excited states of Ar where the outermost valence electron is excited to states with principal quantum numbers up to n=7 and orbital angular momentum quantum numbers up to l=2 have been considered. Systematic trends in the calculated cross section data are discussed.",
