N2 - This paper introduces a new framework to perform handwritten password authentication as an Internet service based on the cloud computing technology. Using the proposed cloud-based authentication platform, we would be able to apply several advanced practical algorithms, such as k-nearest neighbor, and artificial neural network classifier used for large-scale character recognition. The classifier algorithm uses parallel classifier combination method in order to achieve satisfying accuracy for both recognition and error rate.
