Cosmic wake fields

    Abstract

    The dynamics of collapsing domain walls in the presence of an extra pseudoGoldstone field is investigated. It is shown that, under certain conditions, the propagating domain wall can excite (in its wake) a periodic comoving wave of the pseudoGoldstone field.
