Abstract
ASSET is a tool which uses data-flow information to aid in selection and evaluation of software test data. The original version of ASSET accepted input programs written in a very simple subset of Pascal having only simple variables. The data-flow-testing theory on which ASSET is based is summarized, and the implementation of an enhanced version of ASSET which allows input programs which use arrays is described. Sample input programs are analyzed.
