Abstract

Software Engineering deals with aspects of the Software Life Cycle, namely planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance. Database Systems provide a way to organize products in a uniform and comprehensive fashion. This paper proposes the application of Database Systems services in Software Engineering environments. It introduces an appropriate object-oriented data model and a non-procedural data definition and manipulation language. Transaction management issues are also discussed. The proposed system facilitates centralized control, efficiency of access and easiness of use.
