First, it gives a comprehensive overview about resource management in a broad perspective. Secondly, it discusses the possible optimization goals and constraints of resource management techniques: computational performance, power consumption, energy consumption, and temperature. Finally, it details the state-of-the-art techniques on resource management for performance optimization under power and thermal constraints, as well as for energy optimization under performance constraints.
