Abstract

This paper considers a uniform asymptotic method for computing radiation into the surrounding water due to guided waves on a finite (truncated) structure. The effect due to two radiation mechanisms (leaky or trapped mode radiation and end-point diffraction) is discussed and quantified using numerical examples.
