Abstract
Digital Calligraffiti invites well-known calligraffiti artists and visitors to Republica to write their ideas on this year's curatorial theme 'Who Cares?' on an interactive light table (Infl3ctor) and simultaneously project them in large format. Digital Calligraffiti is a community project that combines traditional calligraphy and graffiti art with the digital possibilities of urban media art. How can we overcome the limits of communication with digital tools and involve visitors in a process of co-creation? This is the central question of this community project, which was originally developed in 2016 to give the incoming migrant cultures a public stage on which they can share their messages and views on current issues.
Since then, Digital Calligraffiti has been held worldwide and has engaged many social groups.
