Abstract

This paper reviews the versatile self-assembly of bidentate protein-binding agents on a duplex DNA scaffold, as demonstrated using the biotin-streptavidin system. The preferential binding and stabilization of bidentate biotin-containing duplexes is reflected in a 12C increase in the melting temperature of the duplex in the presence of streptavidin.
