Abstract

A dynamic model of a phase-controlled series-parallel resonant converter is developed using sinusoidal approximation and the principle of superposition. A closed-loop control of the converter is implemented with a DSP controller. Open-loop and closed-loop dynamic responses of the system are explored in detail. The recorded dynamic waveforms show that the phase-controlled series-parallel resonant converter is capable of providing fast responses to various disturbances.
