Abstract

Statement of Purpose: The bone tissue presents great capacity for regeneration when injured by traumas, infectious processes or neoplasias. However, in some situations, the extent of injury exceeds the tissue regeneration capacity, for example, in 5% of traumatic fractures1. In this context, cell therapy can be an alternative to current treatments. In this study, we evaluated the effect of local injection of osteoblastic cells differentiated from bone marrow or adipose tissue-mesenchymal stromal cells (BM-OB and AT-OB, respectively) on bone repair.
