Electroosmotic coupling: Incorporating larger surface effects with a new length scale

Abstract

We derive an expression for the L12 coefficient responsible for electroosmosis. For constant surface charge, we write this as an extension of the Helmholtz-Smoluchowski result. The leading order correction introduces a geometric length scale similar to the Δ parameter.
