Abstract

Electrospinning is a polymer fabrication technology that is enjoying a recent renaissance, and membrane technologists are at the forefront in applying this exciting and versatile technique. Electrospinning is capable of producing both polymer and composite membranes with many desirable characteristics for optimum performance in membrane separations of a wide range of industries. This chapter provides the reader with a practical background in the current state of the art of the technology.
