Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

This part presents three chapters on the concept of encoding. The first chapter discusses neural mechanisms of encoding. The second discusses the level of processing (LOP) framework that stresses that memory is not a separate faculty in either cognitive or neurological terms, but rather is one aspect of the overall cognitive system whose structures and processes are also involved in attention, perception, comprehension, and action. The third presents a synthesis of the chapters in this part.
