Abstract

The corrosion resistance of NdBa 2Cu 3O 7±δ was compared to YBa 2Cu 3O 7-δ and EuBa 2Cu 3O 7-δ, against liquid and phase water. Accelerated corrosion measurements were obtained by exposure to humid air at 75°C and 75% relative humidity in a controlled environmental chamber. The corrosion resistance of NdBa 2Cu 3O 7±δ was found to be comparatively higher than other two superconductors. This enhanced stability was explained using a structure-based model.
