Abstract
The resistive upper critical field along the b-axis in the molecular organic superconductor (TMTSF)2PF6 is investigated in fields up to 17.5 T and temperatures up to T/Tc approximately 1/60, at various pressures near the border between spin density wave and metallic states. Previously, we had obtained a novel crossover where Hc2∥b exceeded both Hc2∥a (in opposition to band structure) and the Pauli paramagnetic limit (μoHp≈2 T). In an optimum pressure setting reported here, it is found that the onset of superconductivity persists to 9 T (more than 4 times Hp), strongly suggestive of triplet Cooper pairing.
