Fixed-structure robust controller synthesis for systems with elemental uncertainty bounding

Abstract

This paper considers the problem of fixed-structure controller synthesis for linear systems with elemental uncertainty bounding. Specifically, we suggest new modifications of the closed-loop Lyapunov equation to capture elemental uncertainty bounds. The principal result involves sufficient conditions for characterizing fixed-order dynamic controllers for systems with elemental uncertainty bounding via a system of modified coupled Riccati/Lyapunov equations.
