Frame-based exhaustive matching (FEM) scheme for photonic packet switch

Abstract

We present an extended frame-based scheme to overcome stringent time constrains and performance degradation in a photonic packet switch. Throughput close to 100% can be achieved with an internal speedup of 1.1 in a 256×256 switch.
