Abstract

A simple mass spectrometry experiment established that two acyclic N₄-tripodal ligands lithium ion with surprisingly high selectivity in a methanol/water solution of five alkali metal perchlorate salts. The selectivity was confirmed by a ¹H NMR experiment.
