N2 - We present numerical results in SU(2) lattice gauge theory for the instantaneous part of the gluon propagator in Coulomb gauge D44,inst = Vcoul(R)δ(t). Data are taken on lattice volumes 244 and 284 for 7 values of β in the interval 2.2 ≤ β ≤ 2.8. The data are confronted with the confinement scenario in Coulomb gauge. They are consistent with a linearly rising color-Coulomb potential Vcoul(R).
