N2 - It is shown that condensation of grand unified gauge bosons can occur during certain high temperature first order phase transitions. Investigations of high temperature SU (5) GUT shows that under well-defined conditions, a condensate of the Xμ boson can appear in the early stages of the evolution of the universe. This mechanism could play an important role in understanding the existing baryon asymmetry.
