Abstract

The magnetic field dependence of the fluorescence of pentacene-doped tetracene single crystals indicates that following energy transfer to pentacene, the trapped pentacene singlet fissions into one tetracene triplet exciton and one pentacene triplet (estimated energy 0.81 ± 0.02 eV).
