    Abstract

The unfolding of an anomalous cusp in a typical two-dimensional noise-activated system was analyzed. It was shown how the unfolding may bifurcate into conventional cusps. The scaling law for the bifurcation yielded a corresponding law for the divergence of the Kramers prefactor.
