Initial Comparison of Optical and Ultrasound Imaging in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Patients

Abstract

We compared frequency-domain optical tomographic (FDOT) imaging of the finger joints of systemic lupus erythematosus patients to ultrasound imaging. FDOT correlated well with ultrasound, the two techniques are effective in differentiating healthy and affected joints.
