title = "Investigation of biosensing bias with single cells located in rectangular microwells",
abstract = "Here, we numerically justify precise positioning of single cells in rectangular microwells for accurate secretory protein sensing, and report a microfluidic single cell per microwell positioning device. Our results show significant time and concentration bias in multiplexed cytokine sensors based on the position of the single cells relative to the sensor. By combining air plugs with immunochemistry in a microfluidic chip, single cells were successfully positioned at the center of 450 microwells. This device could potentially play a vital role in acquiring precise sensitivity and specificity in secretory protein temporal sensing at the single cell level.",
