Abstract

A game involving a tic-tac-toe board and several circular counters that can be placed in the grid's squares is discussed. The first challenge is to answer two questions about the game, namely, the minimum number of squares that must be left empty at the start and their position on the grid. Another problem of the tic-tac-toe board being four-by-four instead of three-by-three was also studied for the number of squares that must be left empty and their position on the grid. In the solitaire version of the game, the goal is to have only one counter left on the grid after some number of jumps.
