Abstract
Bilingual Street theater performance conceived and written by Goffredo Puccetti and Francesca Bizzarri. Performed by Francesca Bizzarri who plays Beatrice and simultaneously animates a puppet of Dante with a bespoke costume that will make her look like a Beatrice on the shoulders of Dante. A street-art performance in five episodes with original text in Italian composed for the occasion by the poet Cecilia Resio, and a component of free interaction and improvisation in English with the audience. It tells the story of a grumpy Dante who went back to Paradise to kidnap his beloved Beatrice. It had its World Premiere at the Dubai Expo2020, Italian Pavilion, November 25th 2021 on the occasion of the Symposyum Dante and the Good Lesson of Interculture. A commission of the Italian Institute of Culture in the UAE.
