Abstract

Laser surface treatments were applied using a CO2 laser machine on three different steel grades. Experimental investigations were carried out on the surface treated materials to determine the effects of different parameters on their structural results. Finite element analyses were done on the same materials and the results were compared to that of experimental one to find out the reliability of the method.
