Abstract

In this short communication letter, an admission controller is developed based on leaky bucket algorithm for SAVI. The controller drops packet based on the allowable bandwidth for serving agents in an edge node. The agents in SAVI serve virtual machines. Also, the controller suggests which agent is available to provide service and which virtual machine in the serving agent is responsible for generating more traffic. The algorithm is tested using the Ryu controller in SAVI.
