Abstract

The Liquefaction Experiments and Analysis Projects (LEAP) is an international effort to produce a set of high quality test data which will then be used for validation of existing computational models and simulation procedures for liquefaction analysis. This paper presents an overview and discusses the limitations of some of existing data that may be used in class-C predictions (or calibration). The paper also discusses some of the requirements for validation data and presents some thoughts for a future series of high quality centrifuge tests aimed at soil model validations using class A (blind) predictions within LEAP.
