Abstract

This paper presents a method for short-circuit analysis of large-scale distribution networks that include distributed synchronous generators. The proposed method takes advantage of the Ybus-based load flow program used in utilities. A computer program utilizing the new method was developed. This paper compares short circuit results obtained using the new short circuit program with those obtained using the classical one, and shows the impacts of distributed synchronous generators during faults.
