Macroscopic modeling and simulations of supercoiled DNA with bound proteins

Abstract

A polymer-level computational model and simulation protocols for supercoiled DNA molecules was developed. The resultant model incorporates the electrostatic and structural properties of DNA molecules with bound proteins based on the well established discrete wormlike chain model for supercoiled DNA.
