Abstract
An anisotropy in the effect of a magnetic field on the photo-enhanced bulk conductivity in anthracene and tetracene single crystals was found. In anthracene this effect may be explained in terms of a triplet exciton-trapped hole interaction. In tetracene it is mainly a consequence of singlet exciton fission into triplet excitons.
