Abstract

This article discusses a technique for mounting a maxillary cast to any semiadjustable articulator using the dentaplane. The dentaplane is a precision device that divides the articulator space into approximately equal upper and lower halves when attached to the lower member. The dentaplane mounts the maxillary cast with a transverse orientation that replicates conditions in a patient's head.
