Abstract

A prototype design and experiment of a microstrip patch sub-array, fed by a parallel plate dielectric waveguide (PPDW) network configured in four layers was analyzed. The patch antenna elements were designed with a 100 ω input impedance at 4.0 GHz using a moment method analysis. The efficiency of layer-to-layer coupling was also evaluated using independent experiments of isolated junctions.
