N2 - Muon capture on 207Pb to the first excited state of 207Tl has been detected in a delayed gamma ray experiment with a probability of 7.9 ± 1.4% per μ capture. This experiment is the first to observe muon capture to an excited state of the isobar of a heavy nucleus.
