Abstract

Survey of recent development in blow molding techniques, new materials used and new applications for blown containers of different types and of a great range of sizes. The hottest points of interest are-acrylic- based soda bottles, polyethylene and PVC containers with use of parison programming, insert blow molding and high-molecularweight polyethylene molding for industrial parts, and injection-blow molding systems. A flow chart for a bottle producing plant '%'module'%for rigid clear materials with capacity of 24,000 programmed bottles per hour. Brief review of newly developed blow molding machines. Progress in Western Europe.
