abstract = "In this paper we present some results of an extensive campaign of direct numerical simulations of Rayleigh–B{\'e}nard convection at high Prandtl numbers (100 ≤ Pr ≤ 104) and moderate Rayleigh numbers (105 ≤ Ra ≤ 109). In particular, we examine the Nusselt and the Reynolds number dependences on Ra and Pr. A short discussion on the characteristic flow velocity is also presented.",
