Abstract

It is hoped that this brief consideration of role conflict illustrates the usefulness of the framework of role interaction for expanding our understanding of the experience and process of conflict between occupational and family roles. Similarly, it is hoped that this framework will both expand and help to organize our knowledge and understanding of other issues relevant to role interaction.
