Abstract

A set of techniques for preparing transmission electron microscope specimens from sections of thin (≤ 1 mm overall diam.) multifilamentary wires (filaments being approximately 5 μm diam.) are described. Results illustrating the successful uniform thinning of the several phases present in ‘bronze‐route’ Nb3Sn are shown. 1983 Blackwell Science Ltd
